TOTAL 180 turn in plans...
Not goin to be a pretty trailer queen truck... like i wanted to build... the truck is about 55% bondo, and 45% steel... :lame:
This poor truck has seen Hell in its hay day... and now, i got screwed for it... The body is shot, not a part on it without a dent or bondo cake on... so now...
It's goin on some worn out 40 in hawgs, and I am cutting the top off....SOON.... :greenchainsaw: :k5t:
gunna be a trail truck...or mud, whatever its now an abuser...

Why do that ? Dents can be pulled rust can be patched i sure wouldnt mess up a good top by cutting it up! Stick with the plan and fix it up it's not like you don't have enough trail zukes in the yard !!

Oh and ask area51/ Andy what his jimmy looked like when he started :ahhhhh:

YEYea, but this build will be better with another body... it's that bad...
I mean yea, it can be redone... but i am unsure if its worth all the work compared to finding the full convertible i want anyway...

my truck was beyond rotten. no rockers, torque boxes, lower wheel wells. I started out on a full restoration and then decided that I was never going to finish so I did the best I could with the patch panels I had purchased. It came out good and has lasted a long time. I never did finish the sheetmetal work. The rear pass side wheelwell is rusting through. not worried about it anymore though.

do what you'll enjoy the most!!

I think I've driven one of those trucks! You know what they say, Chevy trucks never die they just rust away.

I have driven several like those, but the brown 65 stepside looks very familiar.

Trouble, not everything I drive ends up on jackstands :flipoff2:
