Finally after months and months of research, collecting tools, parts and researching some more, I have completed my crossover conversion. This page is just a teaser right now but in time I will document everything it takes to build your own.

So what went into this?

  • Remanufacturered powersteering box for a 1972 Jimmy 4x2
  • Superlift 1104 pitman arm
  • Sky Manufacturing Steering Arm
  • (2) Spicer DLE
  • 1.25x0.219 (0.813 ID) 1026 DOM ASTM A513 Type 5 Steel Tubing
  • Custom machining

How does it work? Was it worth it? Oh, man... it's total heaven! Compared with the old D44 with a raised steering arm it has NO bumpsteer at all. Details to come; this is article is to be continued as I find time. For now you can click on the pic(s) for larger image(s). If you have questions, post in the General Tech Forum on the BBS.
