Had mine out late Saturday afternoon.....only to retrieve a flipped one for a buddy.

No one was hurt, just his pride. A young buck with no experience and not respecting a flooded river. That's a brand new 20 horse 4 stroke.....was under water for about 4 hours.

Great rescue mission Travis!

Billy, just put some seafoam in the tank! That will clean it out :)

I hate boating in flood water, besides the currents, lots of trash to avoid...

You might remember I was considering buying a flats boat a few years ago but had to buy a truck instead, followed by my cousin giving me and old Gheenoe. Unfortunately the Gheenoe needs a new transom and I’m a pecan farmer in a state that’s seen 2 Cat 5s plus another smaller hurricane in 3 years lol! I’m not going to starve but boats repairs, upgrades etc are out for a while lol! I still have my trusty 10 feet aluminum boat though.

The repair on the Gheenoe isn't expensive if you do it yourself, just time consuming. Since getting into kayak fishing I haven't fished out of a boat in a while. I like being able to get to places that are hard to get to.

I’ve looked into it from several different sources. The actual transom repair is way different than basic fiberglass repair. I do think I could do it...but I better just wait and get it repaired lol! What’s even more unfortunate is that I haven’t used it that much anyway. Unless you’re going lake fishing or flats fishing (in a Gheenoe lol) there isn’t much motoring around you can do. I’m sure you know what’s going on with the Wacissa, and the rocks in the Aucilla haven’t moved away yet lol!

Well hell, I have been busy. I built a complete front desk in this pig, and didn't use any wood. none. It all aluminimum. 1\4" rivet's and stainless screws. Alum decking.

tech tip: when using stainless screws in aluminmum, dab with neversieze. They won't break going in or out.

3M 77 spray glue and marine carpet. Kinda looks awesome for the pig it is.

I'll take a pic tomorrow
