not really a problem if you use the never seize. it actually contains powdered alum, copper and graphite in a petroleum base (Silver Seize), so it eliminates corrosion. there's other colors of it for diff applications....

never replace a water pump on an outboard without using it on the stainless bolts!!! number one reason the bolts break off....

i use locke tite brand, get it at Fastenall for about $15 for a lifetime supply.

I agree Pete! When taking out those stuck bolts with the aluminum corrosion on the threads always loosen then tighten a little bit so they have less of a chance of breaking.

Got the front desk redone in the here fishy fishy. Got my new remote control trolling motor installed today. So, it's coming together.

Turns out the old motor does work, just the wireless remote is bad. $40 dollar part.

Oh well, New one looks nice.

The Gheenoe is just going to have to wait until we go atleast a year without a f****** hurricane. I still have my aluminum boat but what I meant by “after today” was what I explained in the Horn Spring thread. If the worst case scenario I want something I can drag without having a stroke (I didn’t paddle back from Horn Spring today...I drug it back over to the bridge lol ugh).

Yea...the thrill is gone for me.

Which is a shame, since I've been there 25 years.

The thrill will never be gone for me! It’d be nice to not have a stroke doing it though lol!

Oh the thrill Isnt gone, just the patience to put up with rude people. Used to be laid back, now it's like "Scallop Greed". Derby fishing at its best.
